Gaziantep Worker Dies After Fall from Construction Site in Kadıköy, Istanbul

ISTANBUL – Orhan Ertem, a 59-year-old construction worker from Gaziantep, tragically lost his life after falling from the 4th floor while building an exterior wall at a construction site in Istanbul's Kadıköy district. Ertem, registered in Kabaklar Village of İslahiye, Gaziantep, left his family and relatives in deep sorrow.
The incident occurred at a construction site in Kadıköy. According to initial reports, Orhan Ertem, who was working on the exterior facade of the building, lost his balance for an undetermined reason and fell from the fourth floor.
Upon notification by other workers at the site, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams determined that Orhan Ertem had died at the site.
Police teams implemented extensive security measures and initiated an investigation into the incident. A detailed inquiry is underway to ascertain the cause of Orhan Ertem's fall and to determine if there was any negligence involved.
Orhan Ertem, who was 59 years old, was confirmed to be from Kabaklar Village in the İslahiye district of Gaziantep. His body is expected to be sent to his hometown following autopsy procedures.
