Forest Worker Dies After Being Crushed by Falling Tree in Bolu, Turkey
A 69-year-old forest worker, Yılmaz Karabak, died in Bolu, Turkey, after being crushed by a tree he was felling. An investigation into the tragic accident has been launched.
Bolu – In a tragic incident in the Mengen district of Bolu, 69-year-old forest worker Yılmaz Karabak lost his life after the tree he was cutting fell on him. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
The accident occurred yesterday in the Kabalaklı area of Karaşeyhler village. According to information received, Karabak, who was working on tree felling in the forest, was crushed when the tree he was cutting toppled onto him. Other workers who witnessed Karabak under the tree immediately reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Upon the notification, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region. Severely injured, Karabak received initial medical intervention at the scene before being rushed to Bolu İzzet Baysal State Hospital. Despite all efforts at the hospital, Karabak could not be saved.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
