GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – Petrol-İş Union participated in the IndustriALL Global Union Executive Committee Meeting held in Geneva, Switzerland, on June 10-11. The meeting, attended by Petrol-İş Union General Administrative Secretary Ali Haluk Koşar and Foreign Relations Specialist Rıza Köse, brought together representatives from IndustriALL Global Union's affiliated unions worldwide to thoroughly discuss current issues faced by workers in global manufacturing sectors.
Future of Global Industry and Worker Rights Discussed
Throughout the meeting, the Petrol-İş delegation actively engaged in strategic discussions on critical agenda items for the global trade union movement, including worker rights, the future of industry in the world and Europe, and global solidarity efforts. IndustriALL Global Union aims to find solutions to the common problems of industrial workers worldwide and strengthen solidarity through such platforms.
During the meeting, representatives of the global trade union movement shared their experiences and achievements, discussing union activities related to organizing, collective bargaining processes, and defending worker rights. Changing conditions in global manufacturing sectors, the impacts of technological developments on working life, and job security were also on the agenda.
