The union stated that after securing the majority required for authorization at Bursagaz, both the employer and Tes-İş filed objections against the certification process. DİSK Enerji-Sen argued that these objections disregard the freely expressed choice of the workers and aim to obstruct the unionization process.
During the protest statement, union representatives emphasized that workers had clearly demonstrated their democratic will by choosing DİSK Enerji-Sen as their representative. They argued that attempts to block the authorization process constitute interference with freedom of association and collective bargaining rights.
The union further stressed that energy workers are demanding secure working conditions, fair wages, and stronger labor rights through collective organization. According to the statement, respect for workers’ decisions is essential for democratic labor relations and industrial peace.
DİSK Enerji-Sen called on all parties involved to immediately withdraw objections to the authorization process and recognize the workers’ union choice. The union also invited labor organizations and the public to stand in solidarity with Bursagaz workers in defense of union rights and democratic representation.
