Devastating Traffic Accident in Akçakoca: 4 Dead, 9 Injured as Truck Collides with Agricultural Vehicle
A fatal traffic accident occurred in the Akçakoca district of Düzce when a truck loaded with iron and steel collided with an agricultural vehicle (locally known as a "patpat") carrying seasonal hazelnut workers. According to initial determinations, four people—three female agricultural workers and the landowner—lost their lives at the scene, while nine others were injured.
Truck Drags Agricultural Vehicle into Residential Garden
The incident took place on the Ayazlı Akevler section of the D-655 Düzce-Zonguldak West Black Sea Connecting Road. A steel-laden truck with license plate 16 AAY 442 collided with the worker-laden agricultural vehicle for reasons yet to be determined.
Due to the force of the impact, the truck dragged the agricultural vehicle underneath it before losing control and overturning into the garden of a roadside house.
Emergency Response and Investigation
A large number of medical, fire, police, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the location following emergency calls. First responders confirmed that three female workers and the landowner died at the scene.
