HATAY – A tragic accident in Hatay's Belen district saw a minibus carrying agricultural workers overturn, resulting in 25 injuries. The injured individuals have been transferred to nearby hospitals, and an investigation into the incident has been launched.

The accident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 4:00 AM, in the Kıcı locality on the Antakya-İskenderun highway. The minibus, bearing license plate 80 ABE 159, driven by Mustafa K., lost steering control, veered off the road, and rolled over.

Following the crash, a total of 24 agricultural workers, including the driver, sustained injuries. Among the injured workers, 8 were Syrian nationals. Upon notification by nearby citizens, a large number of health, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the scene.

Fire department teams worked to extricate the injured from the overturned minibus. After receiving initial medical attention at the scene, the injured were transported by ambulances to various hospitals in the vicinity.

While no official statement has yet been made regarding the health status of the injured, judicial and technical investigations into the accident have commenced.
