The incident occurred around midday in the Gaziosmanpaşa district, where a building was being demolished as part of an urban transformation project. According to reports, wooden debris broke off from the roof of the structure, shattered the front windshield of the excavator, and hit the operator.

The operator, identified as Muhammed B., sustained a leg fracture and was taken to hospital following initial treatment at the scene. He later underwent surgery.

Emergency services, including police and medical teams, were dispatched to the site after the incident was reported. Demolition work was temporarily halted following the accident.
