A tragic occupational accident occurred at a viaduct construction site currently under construction in the Kulp district of Diyarbakır. Four workers lost their lives and one worker was injured when scaffolding collapsed during concrete pouring. A judicial and administrative investigation has been launched into the incident.

Details of the incident and casualty count

The incident took place on November 11 at the viaduct construction site in Kulp district. According to available information, the scaffolding being used during concrete pouring operations collapsed for a reason yet to be determined. Workers on the scaffolding were trapped under the rubble following the collapse.

Health, gendarmerie, and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene. While the injured worker was transferred to the hospital, it was confirmed that four workers had lost their lives.
