KOCAELİ – The leading metalworkers' union, BİRLEŞİK METAL-İŞ, reached a last-minute agreement with the employer at the Anadolu Döküm workplace (affiliated with the Kocaeli Branch), just before the strike scheduled for October 30, 2025, was due to begin. The new-term Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) was signed following a consensus reached under the pressure of the union's strike decision.
In a statement, the union emphasized that the agreement was secured with the approval and satisfaction of its members, highlighting the power of organized struggle. Birleşik Metal-İş noted that the signed CBA includes significant gains not only in wage increases but also in improving working conditions and social rights. The union hailed the outcome as a triumph of its organized power and the effective use of the strike threat to protect workers' rights.
