The Tez-Koop-İş Union issued a statement regarding the strike process at the Private Italian High School, calling for the implementation of the court ruling and an end to strikebreaking practices.
In its statement, the union emphasized that the court had issued a decision concerning the appointment of temporary teachers during the ongoing strike process and stressed that the ruling must be fully enforced. Tez-Koop-İş argued that attempts to continue educational activities through temporary appointments amount to strikebreaking and undermine workers’ constitutional rights.
The union also claimed that anti-strike attitudes were being promoted through the Parents’ Association, which it said operates under the influence of the school administration. According to the statement, efforts to legitimize strikebreaking practices threaten both labor rights and the right to collective bargaining.
Tez-Koop-İş reiterated its demand for a fair collective bargaining agreement and called on the school administration to respect both judicial decisions and the workers’ democratic right to strike. The union underlined that solidarity with the striking workers remains crucial in defending labor rights and union freedoms.
