Ankara – Birleşik Metal-İş, one of Turkey's prominent labor organizations, has issued a commemorative message on the 10th anniversary of the massacre that took place on July 20, 2015, in Suruç, Şanlıurfa, claiming the lives of 33 young people. In its message, the union emphasized that they will keep the memory of the young "dream travelers" alive and reiterated their call for "justice for Suruç, justice for everyone!"

The suicide attack that occurred on July 20, 2015, in front of the Amara Cultural Center in Suruç, Şanlıurfa, targeted members of the Socialist Youth Associations Federation (SGDF) who were on their way to help rebuild Kobanî. This incident has gone down in history as one of the most tragic events in Turkey's recent past. The 33 young people, most of them university students, lost their lives on a journey for peace and solidarity.
