Birleşik Metal-İş Holds Strategic Meeting for MESS Group Agreement: Preparations for the Struggle Have Began

Istanbul – Birleşik Metal-İş, one of the most influential unions in Turkey's metal industry, convened its Experts Board to develop a roadmap for addressing the current issues of the working class and preparing for upcoming collective bargaining agreements. The critical meeting, chaired by General Secretary Ali Çeltek, focused particularly on the preparations for the MESS Group Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which is of vital importance to metal workers.

Comprehensive Preparations for the MESS Group Collective Bargaining Agreement

The main agenda item of the meeting was the MESS Group CBA process, which will determine the working conditions and wages of tens of thousands of metal workers. The union's Experts Board engaged in a comprehensive exchange of information on topics such as setting union strategies, gathering workers' demands, and analyzing economic data. The meeting assessed the goals of protecting the purchasing power of metal workers against high inflation and the rising cost of living, and ensuring a dignified living wage.
