Tragic Industrial Accident in Adana: 28-Year-Old Mechanical Engineer Ahmet Bingöl Dies

ADANA – A devastating industrial accident at a solar energy systems factory in the Kozan Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) of Adana has claimed the life of a young mechanical engineer. Ahmet Bingöl, 28, tragically died on the spot after a metal piece broke off a sheet cutting machine and struck him in the abdomen. Bingöl, originally from Muş, was at the beginning of his career, and his untimely death has plunged his family and loved ones into deep sorrow, once again bringing the critical issue of occupational safety to the forefront of the country's agenda.

The incident occurred at a facility producing solar energy systems in the Kozan OSB. According to initial reports, Ahmet Bingöl, a Mechanical Engineer working at the factory, was performing sheet metal cutting when, for reasons yet to be determined, a piece of metal suddenly detached from the machine and hit his abdomen, causing severe injury. Colleagues and factory management immediately realized the gravity of the situation and promptly notified the 112 Emergency Call Center.

Health and police teams swiftly dispatched to the scene performed initial interventions on the unfortunate engineer. However, despite all efforts, it was determined that the young engineer Ahmet Bingöl had succumbed to his severe injuries at the scene. Bingöl's body was transferred to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue following an examination by the Public Prosecutor.

The death of Ahmet Bingöl, a 28-year-old from Muş, at the very outset of his career in a critical field like Mechanical Engineering, has caused profound grief.
