SIVAS – An illegal dynamite explosion reportedly occurred during unauthorized expansion work at the HemGrup A.Ş. coal mine in Bolucan Village, Zara district of Sivas. The blast resulted in the death of 1 worker and injuries to 2 others. Numerous ambulances and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. This tragic incident at the mine once again highlights the inadequacy of occupational safety measures and the inherent risks of illicit operations.

A horrific incident took place this afternoon at the coal mine operated by HemGrup A.Ş. in Bolucan Village, Zara district of Sivas. According to initial reports, a major disaster occurred when an illegal dynamite exploded during expansion work within the mine shaft.

Initial Reports from the Scene: Fatalities and Injuries

The powerful sound of the explosion was heard in nearby villages, and smoke rising from the mine shaft caused panic. Numerous medical and gendarmerie teams were quickly dispatched to the scene. Preliminary investigations confirmed that one worker inside the shaft at the time of the explosion lost his life.
