The EIT Community Hub Türkiye Roadshow kicks off on June 16th at Kocaeli Bilişim Vadisi. The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and TÜBİTAK will connect academics, industry, and entrepreneurs with European innovation opportunities.
KOCAELİ – A significant step is being taken to connect Turkey's innovation and technology ecosystem with Europe's leading networks. The first of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Information Days, organized in strategic cooperation with the T.C. Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs and the EIT Community Hub Turkey, will take place on June 16th, hosted by Kocaeli Bilişim Vadisi (Informatics Valley). This event aims to introduce the region's academic, industrial, and entrepreneurial communities to global opportunities.
The EIT Information Days aim to directly transfer the extensive funding, training, and networking opportunities offered by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) to relevant stakeholders in Turkey. This Kocaeli leg of the roadshow series will be a critical starting point for integrating the Marmara Region's strong industrial and R&D potential into Europe's innovation ecosystem. At the event, participants will have the opportunity to receive detailed information on grants, project partnerships, and entrepreneurship support provided through EIT's various Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs).
Participants gathering at Bilişim Vadisi will not only gain insights from the EIT Community Hub Turkey and TÜBİTAK but also from EIT's key KICs, which focus on sector-specific areas of expertise:
This diversity will enable academics, institutional representatives, industrial organizations, and entrepreneurs in and around Kocaeli to explore international cooperation and funding opportunities relevant to their areas of expertise.
Kocaeli, with its dense industrial and technological landscape, is an ideal location to host such an innovation event. Specifically, Bilişim Vadisi, one of Turkey's largest technology development zones, provides an excellent setting for the event. The Valley's innovation ecosystem, with its strong ties to startups, research centers, and industrial organizations, perfectly aligns with EIT's objectives.
This event is a crucial part of the EIT Community Hub Turkey's mission to elevate Turkey's innovation capacity to the EU level and establish mutually beneficial partnerships. Following the Information Day in Kocaeli, the roadshow is expected to continue in various other cities across Turkey.
The EIT Information Day on June 16th offers a unique opportunity for anyone seeking to collaborate with Europe in innovation and R&D. Participants can directly communicate with EIT representatives and experts to explore potential support for their projects and ideas. Participation details and registration information will be announced on the official websites of the EIT Community Hub Turkey and Bilişim Vadisi. Don't miss this critical step for Turkey's stronger integration into the European innovation network!
